ALPHA PHI ALPHA FRATERNITY INC.

"First of All, Servants of All, We Shall Transcend All"

Alpha Phi Alpha (ΑΦΑ) Fraternity Inc. is the first intercollegiate fraternity established by African Americans, founded on December 4, 1906. Our mission is to develop leaders, promote brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities.

The Kappa Delta chapter is the 423rd house of Alpha, founded on February 08, 1975. The inception of the Kappa Delta chapter began with 7 strong, intelligent black men who we affectionately refer to as the Mini Jewels.

These pioneering souls are: Barrington Lloyd McFarlane, Joseph Nathaniel Davis, William Linwood Dozier, Curtis Theodore Walker, Daryl Cleveland King, Lennie McIntre, Gerald Derwin Coley.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our beloved brother, Otis Holloway, has entered the Omega Chapter.

Otis, a proud Fall ’11 initiate and Tre Club member, passed away on October 23rd in Washington, D.C.

We remember Otis for his unwavering dedication to our brotherhood and for his remarkable accomplishments beyond Alpha.

A 2012 graduate of Trinity College, Otis went on to earn his Master’s degree in International Peace & Conflict Resolution from American University. His passion for international affairs and advocacy made a profound impact on all who had the privilege to work alongside him, just as his friendship touched everyone who knew him.

Please keep Otis’s family, loved ones, and fraternity brothers in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
